Falcons hockey girls add another shutout victory

FERGUS – The Centre Wellington Falcons picked up their fifth shutout of the District 10 high school girls’ hockey season Thursday as they dropped the Guelph CVI Green Gaels 10-0 at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.

Faith Mitchell was credited with the shutout in net for the Falcons.

Aly Montgomery and Sydney Healey scored twice apiece while single assists were awarded to Cameron Beilhartz, Emily Palmer, Carson Lean, Ella Chase, Kate Mabey and Maddy Bender. Olivia MacMillan assisted on three of the goals while Healey, Tianna Dietrich and Lean each had two assists and Lynsey Goodwin, Cecilie Proctor, Palmer, Mabey, Abbey Zwep, Montgomery and Chase had one apiece.

Centre Wellington has won all seven of its league games this season while GCVI is at 2-5-0-0.
