Falcons prevail in battle of undefeated squads

GUELPH – The Centre Wellington Falcons stand as the lone undefeated team in District 4/10 high school boys hockey after they posted a 3-1 victory over the previously undefeated Bishop Macdonell Celtics Thursday at the West End arena.

After a scoreless first period, the Falcons took the lead early in the second. Bishop Mac tied it midway through the period before Centre Wellington went ahead for good in the final minute of the period. The Falcons added their other goal

Logan Cameron had two goals for Centre Wellington while Mitch Bernier scored the other goal and assists were awarded to Jack McDonald, Mark McIntosh, Tyler Young and Trent Spear.

Michael Pollard scored for Bishop Mac.


Guelph CVI 4 Westside 3

Livingston had a goal and an assist for GCVI while Shaw, Tyo and Cross also scored. Collins assisted on three of the goals and MacIntyre also had an assist.

J. Barkley tallied twice for Westside while Still scored the other goal. Partridge and Sharpe each had one assist.
