Falcons, Royals hockey boys enter exam break tied for first
FERGUS – The Centre Wellington Falcons moved into a tie with the Ross Royals for top spot in the District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey league standings with a 4-3 win over the Royals at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex Thursday.
The result leaves both teams with 18 points with one regular-season game to play after the exam break.
The Royals are at 9-2-0-0 and the Falcons are at 8-1-1-1.
Jack McDonald scored twice for Centre Wellington while Brett Harrison and Mark McIntosh each had a goal and two assists.
