Gaels senior volleyball girls keep streak going to start season

GUELPH – The defending champion Guelph CVI Green Gaels began their 2018-19 District 10 high school senior girls’ volleyball season with a 3-1 victory over the Ross Royals Tuesday.

The Gaels won 25-20, 25-18, 14-25, 25-17.

GCVI won all 14 of its regular-season matches last season and also won its three D10 playoff matches.

The Gaels have not lost in D10 play since being edged in the 2016-17 semifinals. Their last regular-season loss was on Jan. 12, 2017. Including Tuesday’s win, the GCVI has won 20 consecutive regular-season matches.
