Green Gaels, Varsity Reds in boys’ hockey standoff

GUELPH — The Guelph CVI Green Gaels battled the Norwell Varsity Reds to a 2-2 standoff in District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey play Tuesday at Exhibition arena.

Jackson Steele and Jacob Elmes scored the goals for the Gaels.

Will Black and Brett Armstrong netted a goal apiece for the Varsity Reds.


Orangeville 5 Ross 3

Elgin Cooke had a pair of goals for Orangeville while L.Cooke and Jake Quinlan each had a goal and an assist and Castle scored the other goal. Haladuik assisted on two of the goals and single assists were awarded to Gavin Martin, Andy Whitton, Owen Buckley, Ben Neumann, Cole Teeple and Ryan Graham.

Carter Phillips had a pair of goals for Ross and Adam Nightingale scored the other one and Pat Nyman assisted on all three. Cam Knight and Adam Best also had one assist apiece.


Centre Wellington 4 Centennial 1
