Gryphon field hockey women slip by Waterloo

WATERLOO – Guelph Gryphons extended their winning streak in the OUA women’s field hockey league to three games Friday with a 1-0 victory over the Waterloo Warriors at Warrior Field.

Aidan Pattison scored the game’s lone goal.

The Gryphs sit atop the West Division at 4-1-2. Western Mustangs are second at 4-2-1, Waterloo third at 3-2-2 and McMaster Marauders fourth at 0-6-1.

The Gryphs and Warriors are to wrap up their regular seasons Sunday at 11 a.m. at Guelph’s Varsity Field.

Western and McMaster are also to tangle Sunday morning.

Top two in the division are to qualify for the playoffs.
