Gryphon hockey men yield first four goals in loss to Windsor
WINDSOR – The Windsor Lancers hit for the first four goals of the game on their way to a 5-2 victory over the Guelph Gryphons in OUA men’s hockey play Friday night at the Captri Pizzeria Recreation Centre.
The Gryphs, who have four wins in Windsor in their last 15 trips there, trailed 2-0 at the end of the first period and 4-0 just after the nine-minute mark of the second before cutting the gap to 4-2 by the end of the second. Windsor had the lone goal of the third.

The Lukes – Kutkevicius and Bignell – had a goal apiece for Guelph while assists went to Ted McGeen, Connor Bramwell, Liam Ham and Jacob Winterton.
Sean Olson, Brady Pataki, Holden Wale, Mason Kohn and John Wesley scored the goals for Windsor. Wale set up three of the goals while John Parker-Jones had two assists and Ben Assad, Kohn, Wesley, Olson and Pataki had one apiece.
The Gryphs outshot Windsor 36-31 and went 1-for-6 on their power play while the Lancers went 2-for-4.
Colton Incze stopped 26 shots in the Gryphon net while Nathan Torchia had 32 saves for the hosts.
The teams are to meet again Saturday in Windsor. Game time is 4 p.m.
