
Gryphon lacrosse women downed by OUA West leaders
WATERLOO – The Guelph Gryphons suffered losses to the West Division leaders as they dropped a pair of games in OUA women’s lacrosse play Saturday at Waterloo.
The Gryphs were defeated 14-4 by the Laurier Golden Hawks in the morning and 10-0 by the Western Mustangs in the afternoon.
Scoring details were not available.
The losses were the 12th in a row to Laurier and 15th in a row to Western while the victories kept both Laurier and Western unbeaten.
The Golden Hawks and Mustangs lead the OUA West with 4-0 records while the Gryphs and Brock Badgers are tied at 1-3 and the McMaster Marauders are at 0-4.
The Gryphs are to play another pair of games next Sunday at Hamilton when they’re to battle Western again at 10:15 a.m. and tangle with host McMaster at 1:45 p.m.
