Gryphon lacrosse women drop two at Waterloo

WATERLOO – The Guelph Gryphons suffered a pair of losses in OUA women’s lacrosse play Sunday at University Stadium.

The Gryphs were edged 6-5 by the McMaster Marauders and 11-2 by the Western Mustangs.

Details were not reported.

Guelph is sixth in the 10-team league at 3-4-0. Queen’s Gaels lead at 6-0-0 and are followed by the Laurier Golden Hawks at 6-1-0, Western Mustangs at 4-2-0, Toronto Varsity Blues and Trent Excalibur at 3-2-1, the Gryphs, McMaster at 1-2-0, Brock Badgers at 1-4-0, UOIT Ridgebacks at 1-6-0 and York Lions at 0-5-0.

The Gryphs are to play a doubleheader Sunday at St. Catharines as they’re to battle Laurier at 8:30 a.m. and Western at 12 p.m.
