
Gryphon lacrosse women split their Sunday matches
HAMILTON – The Guelph Gryphons split a pair of OUA women’s lacrosse matches Sunday at McMaster.
The Gryphs were dropped 15-2 by the Western Mustangs before rebounding to double the McMaster Marauders 12-6.
The results leave the Gryphs at 2-4 heading into the final weekend of the regular season.
Western leads the West Division at 6-0 while the Laurier Golden Hawks are at 5-1, Gryphs and Brock Badgers are both at 2-4 and McMaster’s at 0-6.
The Gryphs are to host McMaster and Brock, the two teams they’ve defeated this season, Sunday at Varsity Field. They’re to play McMaster at 8:30 a.m. and Brock at 1:45 p.m.
Other games set for Sunday at Varsity Field pit Western against Brock at 10:15 a.m., Laurier against McMaster at 12 p.m. and Western against Laurier at 3:30 p.m.
