Gryphon rugby men topple Trent to remain unbeaten

PETERBOROUGH – The Guelph Gryphons made it three wins in as many OUA men’s rugby outings with a 50-12 victory over the Trent Excalibur Saturday.

It was Guelph’s fourth ever meeting with Trent and they’ve won all four.

It was also Trent’s third loss of the season.

The Gryphs and Queen’s Gaels are the lone undefeated teams in the league as both have 3-0 records. Waterloo Warriors, Laurier Golden Hawks, Western Mustangs and Brock Badgers are each at 2-1, McMaster Marauders are at 1-2 and the Toronto Varsity Blues, Trent and RMC Paladins are each at 0-3.

The Gryphs are to host the McMaster Marauders next Saturday at 1 p.m. at the South Field, the grass field.
