
Gryphon volleyball women downed by Toronto
TORONTO – The Guelph Gryphons suffered their ninth consecutive loss as they were swept 3-0 by the Toronto Varsity Blues Friday night at the Goldring Centre.
Toronto won 25-18, 26-24, 25-15.

Hailey Holland had nine kills, an ace and five blocks for the Gryphs while Briar Crerar had five kills, three blocks and 12 digs. Sophie Kalbfleisch had four kills while Maya Morabito had four blocks, Ella Carter had 17 assists and four digs, Alexa hields had five assists and Maia Dan had nine digs.
Julia Murmann had 12 kills and three aces for the Varsity Blues while Anna Gadomski had four blocks, Jasmine Safar had 22 assists and Natalia Souza had 12 digs.
The Gryphs had a .077 kill percentage in the match while Toronto was at .128.
The Varsity Blues also had 33 kills, 10 aces, five blocks, 31 assists and 54 digs while the Gryphs had 27 kills, three aces, eight blocks, 24 assists and 45 digs.
Guelph is 3-12 after the setback while Toronto is 6-10.
The Gryphs are to host the York Lions (7-8) Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Guelph Gryphons Athletics Centre.
