Gryphons Black Provincial women start by edging Windsor

GUELPH – Guelph Gryphons Black opened their Ontario Women’s Soccer League Provincial season with a 2-1 victory over the Windsor Caboto Strikers Sunday night at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.

Alisa Cogan and Bryn Ferris scored the goals for the hosts.

Next game for Gryphons Black is a match against Guelph Soccer clubmates Gryphons Red at the Gryphon Soccer Complex June 7. Game time is 9 p.m.

Gryphons Red dropped their season opener 2-0 to Banat FC May 24.
