Gryphons Provincial U21 South women edge Oakville SC

OAKVILLE – The Guelph Gryphons received goals from three players as they edged Oakville SC 3-2 in Ontario Women’s Soccer League Provincial U21 South play Sunday at Pine Glen Park.

Getting a goal apiece for the Gryphons were Jessica Aspinall, Lily Campbell and Kylee Szendrey.

Adrianna Deanovic and Asia Navalta scored for Oakville.

The win extended Guelph’s undefeated streak to three games with two wins and a tie in the streak.

The Gryphons are 4-7-3 in league play while Oakville SC dropped to 6-5-2.

The Gryphons have two games left on their league schedule as they’re to host FC London Red (6-4-1) at the Gryphon Soccer Complex Wednesday at 9 p.m. and play league-leading Paris FC (8-1-2) at the Jacob Hespeler field in Cambridge Aug. 7 at 9 p.m.
