Gryphons Provincial women blanked in St. Catharines

ST. CATHARINES – The road just hasn’t been too kind to the Guelph Gryphons early in the Ontario Women’s Soccer League Provincial season.

Tuesday night at Lancaster Park in St. Catharines, the Gryphons were downed 2-0 by the St. Catharines Jets.

Selena Innamorati and Kiana Difrancesco scored the goals for the hosts while Jessica Danku had the clean sheet in net.

The game was the third consecutive match away from the Royal City for the Gryphons and they went 0-2-1 in that stretch.

The Gryphons are 1-2-1 on the season as they did win their season opener at home. St. Catharines is 1-1-0.

The Gryphons are to host the King City Royals (0-4-0) June 13 at 9 p.m. at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.
