Gryphons PS U21 women knotted with Blue Devils

GUELPH – The Guelph Gryphons picked up their first points of the season as they battled the Oakville Blue Devils to a 2-2 standoff in Ontario Women’s Soccer League Provincial South U21 play Thursday night at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.

Mckenzie Coole scored both goals for the Gryphons early in the contest while Oakville responded with goals by Cassandra Armstrong and Victoria Rodriguez.

The tie follows a pair of losses in league play for the Gryphons and it also gives Oakville its first point of the season as the Blue Devils had dropped their previous league outing.

The Gryphons have two games next week as they’re to host Paris FC (1-1-0) Thursday at 9 p.m. at the Gryphon Soccer Complex and play the Blue Devils at Oakville’s North Park June 8 at 11 a.m.
