Gryphons Red handed setback by Banat in season opener

GUELPH – Guelph Gryphons Red opened their Ontario Women’s Soccer League Provincial season with a 2-0 loss to Banat FC Tuesday night at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.

Caitlyn Schlegel and Nicole Lyon scored a goal apiece for Banat while Lesia Bandura had the clean sheet in goal.

Gryphons Red have a road game against FC Berlin Wednesday at 9 p.m.

Gryphons Black

The Gryphons Black are to begin their season Sunday with a home game against the Windsor Caboto Strikers Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.
