Guelph Galaxy blanked by Polish Eagles
KITCHENER – The Guelph Galaxy suffered a 3-0 loss to the Polish Eagles as they made their Kitchener and District Soccer League debut Sunday night at Woodside Park.
The Polish Eagles, last year’s playoff champions, scored once in the first half and twice in the second for the win.
Adam Polakiewicz, Mohamed Aborig and Randy Ribeiro each had a goal for the Polish Eagles.
Galaxy is one of two teams to join the league this year as it increases its lineup to 12 teams. The other newcomer is Owen Sound.
Next game for Galaxy is against the Supersonics at Cambridge’s Sonics Park May 14.
