Guelph minor lacrosse squads get four wins, loss and tie at home
GUELPH – The Guelph Regals split a pair of Ontario Minor Field Lacrosse League U17 games Sunday at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.
The Regals completed their day with an 8-6 victory over the Milton Mavericks after falling 9-6 to the Burlington Chiefs earlier in the day.
The results leave the Regals at 3-1-0 on the season after they took a pair of games a week earlier in Brampton, winning 12-5 over the Owen Sound North Stars and 13-10 over the London Blue Devils.
U15
The Regals are also 3-1-0 in U15 play after a pair of wins Sunday at the Gryphon Soccer Complex.
Guelph blanked the Milton Mavericks 8-0 and defeated the Centre Wellington Riverhawks 13-4.
A week earlier in Toronto, the Regals downed the Oakville Hawks Two 14-2 after being edged 7-6 by the Mimico Mountaineers.
U11
The Regals remained unbeaten after getting a win and a tie Saturday at the Gryphon Soccer Complex to leave their record at 3-0-1.
The locals doubled the Burlington Chiefs Two 14-7 after battling the Hamilton Bengals to a 12-12 standoff.
The Regals had a pair of victories a week earlier in Brampton as they downed the Orangeville Northmen Two 12-7 and edged the Centre Wellington Riverhawks 14-13.
U9
For the second consecutive Saturday the Regals recorded two wins and a loss in league play in Brampton.
The Regals had a 6-5 win over the Hamilton Bengals and a 5-4 victory over the Centre Wellington Falcons bookend a 15-11 loss to the Orillia Kings.
The previous Saturday the Regals recovered from a season-opening 11-6 loss to the Northumberland Nemesis with wins over the Fort Erie Hawks (18-2) and Clarington Gaels Two (12-1).
