Guelph Royals and Hamilton postponed again
GUELPH – The Guelph Royals are going to see quite a bit of the Hamilton Cardinals during their final 14 games of the Intercounty Baseball League’s regular season.
The teams were to have played Friday night at Hamilton’s Bernie Arbour Memorial Stadium, but the game was postponed due to rain.
That marks the third time a Hamilton-Guelph game was postponed. They were to have played May 25 at Hastings Stadium, but rain caused its postponement until June 20, but it rained that day, too. That game is now scheduled for next Thursday.
A makeup date for Friday’s rainout has not been decided.
As well as next Thursday’s game, the Royals (11-11) and Cardinals (9-11) are to play July 16 and July 30, both at Hastings Stadium.
The Royals are to host the Toronto Maple Leafs (9-12) Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and play the Welland Jackfish (12-9) at Welland Sunday at 1:05 p.m.
