Guelph Royals rained out again

GUELPH – The Guelph Royals were rained out for the second day in a row Saturday.

Their Intercounty Baseball League match against the Kitchener Panthers that was scheduled to be played at Hastings Stadium was postponed due to the weather.

The Royals also had a game against the London Majors at London’s Labatt Park postponed Friday night.

Make-up dates have not been decided for either game.

The Royals (6-10) are scheduled to play the Barrie Baycats (11-7) at Barrie’s Coates Stadium Sunday at 7 p.m.

In a bit of an oddity Tuesday, the Royals are scheduled to play a road game without doing any travelling. The Royals are to play the Hamilton Cardinals (5-9) at Hastings Stadium Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., but they’ll be the visiting team for the game.

Hamilton’s home field, Bernie Arbour Stadium, isn’t available as it had to have its sod replaced after it was damaged during the filming of a television show there last November.
