Guelph Royals rained out in Hamilton

The Guelph Royals had their Intercounty Baseball League game against the Hamilton Cardinals scheduled for Friday night at Hamilton’s Bernie Arbour Stadium postponed due to inclement weather.

It’s to be rescheduled, giving the Royals three games that need to be returned to their schedule. The other two are home games from rainouts at Hastings Stadium May 25 against the London Majors and June 29 against the Kitchener Panthers.

The Royals are slated to play three consecutive 7:30 p.m. games at Hastings Stadium as they’re to face Hamilton Saturday, Barrie Baycats Sunday and Welland Jackfish Tuesday.

Welland leads the league at 16-4 and are followed by London at 14-6, Barrie at 12-7, the Royals at 10-7, Hamilton at 10-9, Brantford Red Sox and Chatham-Kent Barnstormers both at 8-14, Kitchener at 7-14 and Toronto at 7-17.
