
Guelph Storm doubled up by Soo Greyhounds
GUELPH – The Guelph Storm were held to four shots on net in the third period as they were doubled 4-2 by the Soo Greyhounds in Ontario Hockey League play Friday night at the Sleeman Centre.
Soo scored a pair of goals less than three and a half minutes apart late in the first period to start on their way to the victory.

The Greyhounds led 2-0 at the end of the first period and 3-1 after the second.
Danny Zhilkin and Luka Profaca collected the goals for the Storm, Zhilkin scoring on the power play early in the second period and Profaca connecting with 2:33 to play.
Sasha Pastujov, Daniil Chayka, Matthew Poitras and Michael Buchinger each had an assist for the hosts.
Robert Calisti, Marco Mignosa, Bryce McConnell-Barker and Cole MacKay struck for a goal apiece for Soo while single assists were awarded to Kalvyn Watson, McConnell-Barker, Tyler Savard, Jordan D’Intino, Kirill Kudryavtsev and Tanner Dickinson.
The Greyhounds outshot the Storm 31-22 and both teams had a power-play goal, Soo on six power plays and the Storm on their only one.
Jacob Oster was charged with the loss in net for the Storm while Charlie Schenkel collected the win.
Soo is tied for second in the Western Conference at 3-1-0-0 while the Storm are tied for fifth at 1-2-1.
The Storm have three games on their schedule next week as they’re to play the Kitchener Rangers (3-0-0-0) at Kitchener Tuesday at 7 p.m., the Sarnia Sting (3-1-1-1) at Sarnia Friday at 7:05 p.m. and host Kitchener Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Sleeman Centre.
