
Guelph Storm turned aside by Owen Sound Attack
OWEN SOUND – The Guelph Storm yielded five consecutive goals as they were downed 5-2 by the Owen Sound Attack in OHL play Saturday night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.
The Storm scored the first and last goals of the game.

The Attack led 4-1 at the end of the first period before a scoreless second.
Jett Luchanko and Ryan McGuire had a goal apiece for Guelph while Michael Buchinger and Hunter McKnight each had an assist.
Deni Goure led the Attack with a pair of goals while Matthew Papais, Teddy Sawyer and Thomas Chafe added single goals. Goure, Cedrick Guindon and Papais each had two assists while Ethan Burroughs, Servac Petrovsky, Julian Fantino and goalkeeper Corbin Votary each had one assist.
The teams each had 32 shots on net while Owen Sound went 1-for-2 on its power play while the Storm was scoreless on three power plays.
Jacob Oster had 27 saves in the Storm net while Votary had 30 for the Attack.
The Storm had 17 players suited up for the game due to a flu bug going through the team.
Guelph is 10th in the Western Conference at 2-8-2-0 while Owen Sound is second at 8-4-0-0.
The Storm are to host the North Bay Battalion (fifth in Eastern Conference at 6-4-0-0) Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Sleeman Centre.
