Half of senior girls’ volleyball league still in tie for first place

GUELPH – Every team that scored a win in Tuesday’s opening games of the District 10 high school senior girls’ volleyball season also posted on a victory Thursday on the second day of competition Thursday.

Guelph CVI Green Gaels, Bishop Macdonell Celtics, Ross Royals and St. James Lions all remained tied for first as they improved their records to 2-0 while the Lourdes Crusaders, Orangeville Bears, Centre Wellington Falcons and Centennial Spartans all remain tied for fifth as their records dropped to 0-2.

Things should change on Tuesday as two of the games feature teams with 2-0 records playing each other while the other two games are between teams sporting 0-2 records.
