Highland rugby women crush Sarnia Saints

FERGUS – Fergus Highland struck for 17 tries as they crushed the Sarnia Saints 103-5 in Niagara Rugby Union senior women’s play Saturday at Victoria Park.

The result evened Highland’s record at 1-1 while Sarnia fell to 0-2. The Saints had been blanked 73-0 by London St. George in their season opener.

Highland is to play the Burlington Centaurs (0-1) at Sherwood Forest Park next Saturday at 12:30 p.m.

Senior Men A

Highland suffered a 31-5 loss to the Sarnia Saints Saturday at Victoria Park.

The Saints scored five tries in the match while Fergus had one.

Highland is 0-2 on the season while Sarnia is 2-0.

Highland is to play the Norfolk Harvesters (0-2) at the Waterford District High School next Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
