Host Wolverines sweep pair of senior volleyball matches

MOUNT FOREST – The host Wellington Heights Wolverines stand atop the District 4 high school senior boys volleyball standings following the opening day of the league’s shortened season.

The Wolverines swept a pair of matches as they defeated the Erin Raiders 2-0 and Emmanuel Christian Eagles 2-0.

Westside Thunder won their lone match, defeating the Centre Dufferin Royals 2-0.

Centre Dufferin defeated Emmanuel Christian 2-0 in the other match.

Norwell Varsity Reds had both of their matches postponed.

Second and final day of the regular season is scheduled for next Wednesday in Palmerston at Norwell.
