It’s a trend, another 1-0 setback for Guelph Union

PICKERING – Guelph Union have got to be getting tired of 1-0 losses.

Union suffered its third consecutive 1-0 loss in League1 Ontario Women’s Premier soccer play Wednesday as they were edged by Pickering FC at Pickering’s Kinsmen Park.

Brittney Lawrence connected for the lone goal of the game in its 70th minute.

Annabel Gravely had the clean sheet for the hosts while Libby Brenneman was in net for Union.

Union is 13th in the 20-team league at 5-6-2 while Pickering is 17th at 2-8-3.

Next up for Union is a home match at Alumni Stadium Sunday at 3 p.m. against ProStars FC (1-10-3). ProStars are 19th in the standings.
