Junior Gryphon AAA minor midgets add to win streak

CHESLEY – The Guelph Junior Gryphons collected their fourth consecutive win in South Central AAA minor midget hockey play Sunday when they defeated the Grey-Bruce Highlanders 5-3 at the Chesley arena.

Jake Karabela had a pair of goals for the Junior Gryphs while Madden Steen, Rowan Aljoe and Jayden Seguin tallied once each. Ryan Tait assisted on three of the goalks while Steen, Nolan Karger, Daniel McCuen, Michael Fischer and Kyle Kussmann each collected one assist. Evan Parisotto picked up the win in the Guelph net.

Spencer Davidson scored twice for Grey-Bruce while Eric Barnard had the other goal. Assists went to Jacob Duncan, Carter Moran and Joshua Van Der Vechte while Ryan Tanner was in net.

The Junior Gryphs are third in the 10-team league with an 8-2-2 record while Grey-Bruce is fifth at 5-6-2.
