Junior Gryphon U18s blank Brampton

GUELPH – Hayden Sabourin recorded his second shutout of the season as the Guelph Junior Gryphons blanked the Brampton 45’s 6-0 in South Central AAA U18 hockey play Sunday at the Gryphon Centre.

Madden MacDougall and Austen Pomerleau struck for two goals apiece while Tristan Tremble and Andrew Benedetti also scored. Luke Tokarz had a pair of assists while Nolan Hendry, Callum Snedden, Connor Gentes, Tyler Brezynskie and Benedetti each had one.

Jaysen Bou-Zeid was in net for Brampton.

The Junior Gryphs have three games on their schedule this week as they’re to play the Hamilton Junior Bulldogs Tuesday at Gateway Ice Centre in Stoney Creek at 7 p.m., Southern Tier Admirals Friday at Vale Health and Wellness Centre in Port Colborne at 7 p.m. and the Oakville Rangers Sunday at the Gryphon Centre at 5:15 p.m.
