Junior Gryphon U18s blank Southern Tier

GUELPH – The Guelph Junior Gryphons handed the Southern Tier Admirals a South Central AAA U18 setback for the second consecutive Sunday at the Gryphon Centre.

The Junior Gryphs posted a 2-0 triumph Sunday, one week after defeating the Admirals 9-3 on the same ice surface.

Madden MacDougall and Demetrios Saclamacis had a goal apiece for the locals while single assists went to Will Elliott and Callum Snedden.

Hayden Sabourin picked up the shutout in net for Guelph.

Tyler McKenna was in net for Southern Tier.

The Junior Gryphs have six wins and two ties in their last nine games.

Next game for the Junior Gryphs is set for Thursday as they’re to play the Burlington Eagles at 7:30 p.m. at the Appleby Ice Centre.
