Junior Gryphs AAA minor midgets latest victims of red hot Buffalo

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. – The Guelph Junior Gryphons were dropped 7-2 by the red hot Buffalo Regals in South Central AAA minor midget hockey play Sunday at the Holiday Twin Rinks.

The win was Buffalo’s 11th consecutive victory in league play.

Rowan Aljoe and Luke Johnston scored the goals for the Junior Gryphs while assists went to Kyle Kussmann and Jake Karabela.

Brock Jones and Joseph Muldowney handled most of the scoring for Buffalo as they each had five-point outings. Jones scored a hat trick and had two assists while Muldowney had two goals and three assists. Garrett Walker and Charles Robinson added the other goals while Kyle Adamo had two assists and Trent Barker and Kenneth Brodie each had an assist.

Evan Parisotto was in net for the locals while Gavin Kreutzer picked up the win for Buffalo.

The Regals jumped over the Junior Gryphs in the league standings. Buffalo is fourth in the 10-team league at 14-11-3 while the Junior Gryphs are fifth at 12-9-6.

The teams are to play again Thursday at the West End arena. Game time is 8 p.m.
