Junior Gryphs stay atop SCTA U18 loop

PORT COLBORNE – The league-leading Guelph Junior Gryphons slipped by the Southern Tier Admirals 3-1 in South Central AAA U18 league play Friday at the Vale Health & Wellness Centre in Port Colborne.

Madden MacDougall netted a pair of goals for Guelph while Callum Snedden scored the other one. Luke Tokarz and Snedden each had an assist while Hayden Sabourin was in net for the win.

Southern Tier’s goal was scored by Cameron Thorpe while Anthony Dicarmine assisted on the play. Tyler McKenna was in net.

The Junior Gryphs lead league while the Oakville Rangers are three points behind in second.

The Junior Gryphs and Rangers are to meet Sunday at 5:15 p.m. at the Gryphon Centre.
