KDSL Royals drop season opener to Polish Eagles Red

KITCHENER – The Guelph Royals suffered a 3-1 loss to the Polish Eagles Red of Kitchener in Kitchener and District Soccer League play Friday night at Woodside Park.

Matteo Tessaro struck for the lone goal for the Royals.

Johny Cabral, Kurtis Amarin and Nelson Melo had a goal apiece for the Polish Eagles Red.

Next outing for the Royals is to be their home opener May 28 against Owen Sound United at the Guelph Lakes Sports Fields. Game time is 7 p.m.
