United rebounded from a two-goal deficit with a pair of goals by Kotsopoulos in the final five minutes of the match.

The locals never led in the game as Eric Savvas opened the scoring for the visitors in the third minute before Kotsopoulos started his three-goal outing in the 21st minute.

Omari Cotterell put Pickering ahead in the 38th minute and Nigel Buckley extended the lead in the 76th minute.

However, Kotsopoulos pulled United even with goals in the 86th and 90th minutes.

Sam Spoelstra picked up the tie in net for United while Carter Osborne was in goal for Pickering.

The goals by Kotsopoulos raise his seasonal total to five to tie with Tomasz Skublak for the team lead.

United has been a second-half team this season as 13 of the 18 goals they’ve scored have come after the halftime break. Pickering has scored seven of its 11 goals in the first half.

Guelph is fifth in the league standings at 5-2-3 while Pickering is 18th at 3-6-1.

United is to play St. Catharines Roma (2-5-2) at St. Catharines next Friday at 8:45 p.m. The locals will reach the midway point of their 21-game regular season at halftime of that match.
