Lions, Crusaders, Celtics tied atop D10 senior soccer loop

GUELPH – The St. James Lions knocked off the Lourdes Crusaders 3-1 Tuesday to create a three-way tie atop the District 10 high school senior boys’ soccer league standings.

The result left both teams with 4-1-0 records and they were joined in the stalemate for first by the Bishop Macdonell Celtics who defeated the Centennial Spartans 2-1.

Kean Lam led St. James with a pair of goals while Anthony Neves added the other goal.

Owen Duffy scored for Lourdes.

Bishop Mac received goals from Tyler Grondinger and Devon Corbit.

Daniel Freitas tallied for Centennial.

 

Ross 7 Guelph CVI 2

Gray Yates struck for four goals for Ross while Arman Moghandasi, Reshab Dahal and Tommaso Agliata also scored.

GCVI’s goals were netted by Oscar Warburton and Eduardo Taveira.

David Agyere-Tabbi fired home a pair of goals for Ross while lorik Sadiku and Joel Betts scored once each.

Henry Huoang had the goal for GCVI.
