Lions keep unbeaten mark in senior girls’ volleyball

GUELPH – The St. James Lions remained unbeaten in District 10 high school senior girls’ volleyball as they handed the Guelph CVI Green Gaels a 3-1 setback.

The Lions won 25-11, 23-25, 25-21, 27-25.

St. James and the Centennial Spartans are both at 3-0 while the Bishop Macdonell Celtics and GCVI are both at 2-1. Orangeville Bears and Ross Royals are both at 1-2 and the Centre Wellington Falcons and Lourdes Crusaders are both at 0-3.

The Spartans recorded their third consecutive sweep as they won 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.

 

Ross 3 Lourdes 2

The Royals outlasted the Crusaders 14-25, 25-18, 25-13, 18-25, 15-13 for their first win.

 

Orangeville 3 Centre Wellington 0

The Bears also picked up their first win as they posted a 25-15, 25-17, 25-17 victory.

 

Junior Girls’ Volleyball

Bishop Macdonell 3 Centennial 0

The Celtics won 25-6, 25-20, 25-14.

 

St. James 3 Guelph CVI 0

The Lions won 25-8, 25-14, 25-4.

 

Centre Wellington 3 Orangeville 0

The Falcons won 25-18, 25-21, 25-20.

 

Ross 3 Lourdes 1

The Royals won 25-11, 23-25, 25-4, 25-11.
