
Minto 81’s blanked by league-leading Seaforth
SEAFORTH – The Minto 81’s suffered a 7-0 loss to the Seaforth Centenaires Saturday night in WOAA senior AA men’s hockey play at the Seaforth Arena.
Seaforth struck for three goals in the first period before adding two more in the second.

Kurtis Bartliff and Liam Melady struck for two goals apiece for Seaforth while Brady Wiffen, Holdyn Lansink and Calvin Penney also scored. Mike Siddall collected three assists while Jarrett Bogdon, Josh Cornelissen and Wiffen each had two. Single assists went to Danny Bryan, Blake Pickering, Bartliff, Reuben Smith and Lansink.
The Centenaires were scoreless on two power plays while Minto was scoreless on five power plays.
Tyler Parr picked up the shutout for Seaforth while Marc Williams was in net for the 81’s. Shots on goal were not reported.
Seaforth leads the league at 8-1-0-1 while Minto’s seventh at 2-1-0-1.
The 81’s are to host the Tavistock Royals (2-1-0-0) Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Palmerston arena.
