Minto 81’s edged by Ripley Wolves

PALMERSTON – The Minto 81’s suffered a 3-2 loss to the Ripley Wolves in Western Ontario Athletic Association senior men’s hockey play Sunday at the Palmerston arena.

The result put an end to a two-game win streak for the 81’s and extended Ripley’s win streak to five games.

Adam Kawalec and Zach Graham scored the goals for Ripley while assists went to Kawalec and Riley Cribbin.

Goaltenders were Marc Williams for the 81’s and Jason Hamilton who made his first appearance of the season for Ripley.

The Wolves received goals from Alex Kuntz, Adam Alexander and Jared Colling while Cody Britton, Garrett Meurs, Nick Seiler, Brett Burrows and Keaton Willis each had an assist.

The 81’s are to play a home-and-home series with the Petrolia Squires as they’re to play at the Greenwood Recreation Centre in Petrolia Friday at 8:30 p.m. and at the Palmerston arena Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
