Minto 81’s fall in OT, quarter-final series in a knot

CLINTON – The Minto 81’s and Clinton Radars are knotted at a win apiece in their Western Ontario Athletic Association senior AA men’s hockey playoff series following a 5-4 win in overtime by Clinton at Clinton Friday night.

The 81’s had won the opening game of the best-of-seven quarter-final series 4-3 in overtime at Palmerston last weekend.

Clinton led 2-1 at the end of the first period Friday and 4-3 after the second before Minto scored the lone goal of the third.

Scoring details are not available.

Third game of the series is set for Saturday at the Palmerston arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m.
