
Minto 81’s skate by Milverton on their home ice
PALMERSTON – The Minto 81’s blanked the Milverton Four Wheel Drives 6-0 in Western Ontario Athletic Association senior men’s hockey play Saturday at the Palmerston Arena.
The game came a week after the 81’s dropped their season and home opener to the Petrolia Squires 5-4 in overtime at Palmerston.
Individual statistics from either game were not available.
Seaforth Centenaires (4-0-0-0) lead the league and are followed by Petrolia (3-1-0-0), Creemore Coyotes (3-1-0-0), Durham Thundercats (2-2-0-0), the 81’s (1-0-1-0), Ripley Wolves (1-1-0-0), Saugeen Shores Winterhawks (1-1-0-0), Shallow Lake Crushers (1-1-0-0), Tavistock Royals (1-0-0-0), Lucknow Lancers (0-2-0-0), Milverton (0-3-0-0) and Shelburne Muskies (0-4-0-0).
The 81’s are to play their third consecutive home game to open the season next Saturday at 6 p.m. when they’re to host Durham.
