Nashville picks former Storm draft pick in 3rd round

CHICAGO – The Nashville Predators selected defenceman David Farrance of Rochester, N.Y., in the third round of the NHL draft Saturday.

Farrance had been selected by the Guelph Storm in the 2015 OHL draft, but has never played for the Storm.

The Predators picked Farrance with the 30th pick of the third round, 92nd overall.

Farrance, who turned 18 Friday, had eight goals, 45 assists and 62 minutes in penalties in 91 games with U.S. under-18 national teams during the 2016-17 season.
