Norwell win creates fourth-place knot in senior hoops

ERIN – The Norwell Varsity Reds created a three-way tie for fourth place in District 4 high schools senior girls’ basketball play Wednesday when they defeated the Erin Raiders 58-40.

That result left Norwell, Erin and the Westside Thunder with identical 2-6 records. The Wellington Heights Wolverines and Emmanuel Christian Eagles are tied for first at 7-1 while the Centre Dufferin Royals are third at 4-4.

Kelsey Walker led Norwell with 16 points while Becca Martin had 11.

Mackenzie Collings had 14 for Erin while Riley Miller contributed six.

Dannika Bauman hit for 11 points for Wellignton Heights while Mackenna Iles had eight.

Kayla Skorski had a game-high 16 for Centre Dufferin while Taylor Bury added 10.
