One goal each period gives Storm win over London
GUELPH – The Guelph Storm scored once in each period to edge the London Knights 3-2 in Ontario Hockey League play Friday night at the Sleeman Centre.
London responded with single goals in the second and third periods.

Cooper Walker struck for the eventual game-winner midway through the third period. Danny Zhilkin had scored in the first period while Ben McFarlane addad a shorthanded marker in the second. Cameron Supryka, Daniil Chayka, Luka Profaca and McFarlane each had an assist.
Luke Evangelista scored both goals for London, the second one on a power play early in the third period. Max McCue, Antonio Stranges and Sean McGurn each had an assist.
The Storm outshot the Knights 37-27 while London went 1-for-2 on its power play and the Storm was scoreless on three power plays.
Owen Bennett had 25 saves for the win in net for the Storm while Brett Brochu had 34 saves for London.
The win leaves the Storm second in the Western Conference at 11-6-1-1 while London leads at 14-4-1-0. Soo Greyhounds are third at 11-9-0-0 and Owen Sound Attack fourth at 9-7-1-1.
The Storm are to play the Erie Otters (10th in conference at 5-11-1-0) twice this weekend as they’re to play Saturday at the Erie Insurance Arena starting at 7 p.m. and Sunday at the Sleeman Centre beginning at 2 p.m.
