One-sided triumph for Spartans, Gaels senior girls

GUELPH – The Centennial Spartans and Guelph CVI Green Gaels were the top two teams in the District 10 high school senior girls’ basketball season Tuesday with one-sided victories.

Centennial 60 Lourdes 10

J. Davey led the Spartans with 14 points.

G. Ovdanza scored four for Lourdes.

Guelph CVI 57 St. James 5

Acadia Tremain had 16 points for GCVI while Jasmine Liban added 12 and Nyssa Matthews collected eight.

Arielle Balmelero had three for St. James and Amelia Glaab added two.

Junior Girls

Centre Wellington 40 Ross 38

Sydney Sellers connected for 11 points for Centre Wellington while Natalie Abra added six.

Leah van Milligen and Sam Tesfit each had nine points for Ross.

Orangeville 61 Bishop Macdonell 27

Sydney Richardson had 11 points in the game while Samaya Macintyre had nine.
