One-sided win keeps Falcons hockey girls unbeaten

GUELPH – The Centre Wellington Falcons remained undefeated in District 10 high school girls’ hockey play as they dropped the St. James Lions 11-0 Monday at Centennial arena.

The win was the fifth in as many outings for the Falcons while the loss was the third in as many outings for the Lions.

Centre Wellington scored four times in the first period and six times in the second.

Sydney Healy had a hat trick for the Falcons while Carson Lean, Emily Palmer and Maddy Bender scored twice apiece and Cecilie Procter and Kara den Hoed added single goals. Bender and Lyndsey Goodwin each had three assists and Procter, Kara den Hoed, Healy and Kate Mabey had two each and Lean, Ally Montgomery, Olivia MacMillan and Courtney den Hoed had one each.

Faith Mitchell picked up the shutout.
