Orangeville Bears nip Falcons in OT in boys’ hockey

FERGUS – The Orangeville Bears struck in overtime to edge the Centre Wellington Falcons 4-3 in District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey play Thursday at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex.

The Bears received goals from four players in the game as Ben Ferguson, Robbie Williams, Andy Whitton and Josh Presley each scored.

Logan Rayner, Owen Williams and Mark McIntosh had the goals for Centre Wellington.

The result leaves Centre Wellington at 3-1-0-1 and Orangeville at 2-1-0-0.

 

Norwell 8 Centennial 0

Norwell Varsity Reds remained the only undefeated team in the league with the victory, their third in as many outings.

Caleb Cribbin, Steve Skerrit and Owen Trayer each scored twice for Norwell while single goals were added by Ben MacRobbie and Tyler Franklin. MacRobbie had two assists and single assists were awarded to Cribbin, Keegan McIntosh and Elliot McCarey.
