Orangeville Bears open win account in boys’ hockey
GUELPH – Orangeville Bears struck for their first win of the District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey season Tuesday when they edged the Guelph CVI Green Gaels 4-3 at the West End arena.
It was the second game of the season for both teams and both had dropped their season openers.
Cole Teeple had a pair of goals for Orangeville while Neil Kirchberger and Evan Poefler added single goals.
Triston Pavis, Cooper Carberry and Noah Newmann netted single goals for GCVI.
Norwell 5 Wellington Heights 1
Norwell made it two wins in as many league outings with the win.
Caleb Cribbin had a pair of goals for the Varsity Reds while Griffen Jack, Cohen McIsaac and Ben MacRobbie tallied once apiece.
Ethan Andrews hit for the goal for Wellington Heights.
