Orangeville bounces back to tie for second in senior hoops
FERGUS – The Orangeville Bears moved back into a tie for second place in the District 10 high school senior girls’ basketball league standings following an 83-28 victory over the Centre Wellington Falcons Thursday.
Maggie Franz collected 26 points for the Bears while Josie Hayward had seven for Centre Wellington.
Centennial Spartans lead the league at 6-1 while Orangeville and the St. James Lions are tied for second at 5-2.

Brooklyn Cracknell connected for 10 points for Ross while Sarah Hopkins and Megan Beamish netted eight apiece.
Eve Elford had seven for GCVI and Shannon Westwood netted six.

Orangeville 51 Centre Wellington 31
Toya Williamson struck for 18 points for Orangeville.
Cassidy Tindall had nine for Centre Wellington.
Guelph CVI 64 Ross 31
Jordyn Best had 13 points for GCVI while Tishan Delfinado followed with 12.
Bronwyn Sweeney of Ross led all scorers with 17 while Susannah Morris had eight.
