Orangeville starts boys’ hockey campaign with win

GUELPH – The Orangeville Scarlet Bears opened their District 4/10 high school boys’ hockey season by doubling the Guelph CVI Green Gaels 6-3 Thursday at the West End arena.

The Bears received two goals from Smith and one each from Jake Quinlan, Cole Terple, Gavin Martin and Brendan Chapman.

Lucas Cross, Colin Livingston and Brett Reynolds scored for GCVI.

Trent Spear netted a pair of goals for Centre Wellington while Kyle Detweiler scored the other one.

Brody Leblanc had the goal for Wellington Heights.
